Team Info

The Robotics Team is a group of students, teachers, and engineers from Middlesex High School and Bob's Discount Furniture Store, working together to create a robot that will successfully compete against other robots in competition.  The head faculty advisor is Mr. Duffy DeLucca.  We are also working with several engineers and parents in both volunteer and advising capacity.

Our team is POWER CORD and we have named our robot MAC.  We have also chosen a team motto to help motivate us–"We've got the POWER!" The team logo is a bluejay with a lightning bolt, designed by Jeff Bunca, a college advisor and team alumnus.

We began our planning on January 7th.  We have only 6 weeks to build the robot and an arena, which will serve as a practice area to test MAC's abilities.  The team will need to meet two nights a week and all day Saturday for those 6 weeks.  Once the robot is shipped out in February, we will wait for the competitions to show our robot's worth!

The Robotics Team is organized into different groups based on the team members' skills.  There is also a lot of inter-group involvement to build and test MAC.
